Thiruvananthapuram: Breaking all Barriers Because of Two Temples !

Sree Padmanabha Swamy Temple, where priceless treasure lying untouched at the feet of a deity for centuries, The Attukal Devi Temple, which is listed in Guinness Book of World Records for record number of women gathering during Pongala festival, both temples are situated in a distance of few kilometers.

Today is Attukal Pongala. It is expected that this year the number of devotees offering Pongala would be more than 35 lakhs, according to Attukal Temple trust. There is an unprecedented, rapid growth in the number of devotees visiting the temple yearly. Last year 30 lakh people visited the temple includes devotees from other districts and foreign countries.

Sree Padmanabha Swamy Temple is in the center of media attention after the discovery of priceless treasures inside temple vaults. Since then thousands of devotees and tourists from all over India and abroad are visiting the temple.

Being two world famous temples situated here, Thiruvananthapuram is breaking all the boundaries of the becoming world famous. We can feel proud of being from Thiruvananthapuram.
