Construction of the access road leading to the proposed Vizhinjam International Seaport is going on in good pace. The road starts from Mulloor Junction has a distance of 600m and width of 15m. According to Kerala State Transport Project (KSTP) officials the construction will be over by end of this month.
People with vested interests have tried to sabotage the project spreading rumours about land acquisition for the project mainly to protect nearby major sea ports, resorts, hotels and real estate business. KSTP offcials convinced the people that rumours spreading here are totally baseless and project will be completed with the full co-operation from the people around the project area.
