C.K. Mathew, a 1977 batch IAS officer from Thiruvananthapuram has been appointed as the Chief Secretary of Rajasthan. C.K. Mathew residing in Jawahar Nagar Thiruvananthapuram hailing from a family of civil servants. His father Kochu Koshy IAS, who is 90 now was the Chairman of Civil Service Academy. Kochu Koshy’s second son C.K Koshy IAS retired as Gujarat Chief Secretery and his nephew who is working in North India. Infact, this is the only family in India having these number of IAS officers. C.K. Mathew, did his schooling at ST.Joseph Highschool, Thiruvananthapuram and later completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram
C.K Mathew IAS is a well known writer too. He wrote the novel “The Mustard Flower” published in August 2003 and another novel “Best is yet to come”. His blog “Mathew Speeks” is also famous. His recent blog “From Pa to Grandpa” describes the relationship between his daughter and granddaughter.
