Nishagandhi Festival 2012,Thiruvananthapuram

Welcome to the Nishagandhi Festival which unveils seven nights that celebrate classical Indian dance and music. Nishagandhi Festival 2012 will be held in Nishagandhi auditorium at Kanakunnu palace compound,Thiruvananthapuram. Nishagandhi auditorium in the palace compound holds dance festivals every year; renowned artists perform various dances and other arts like Bharathanatyam, Mohiniyattam, Kathak, Odissi, modern ballet and other folk forms. Artists and connoisseurs of various dance forms from all over India come to enjoy and participate in this cultural treat.

Nishagandhi Dance Festival is organised by the Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) and entry is free. Nishagandhi Dance Festival is accompanied with Bharathanatyam, Mohiniyattam, Kathak, Odissi, Modern Ballet, Classical Music and other folk forms. It gives a people of various backgrounds a fascinating glimpse of India’s rich dance heritage.

Thiruvananthapuram will come alive with the exotic fragrance of the Nishagandhi from 20th January 2012 with a touch of magical cool nights with a beautiful blend of melody and rhythm and creates a new world of sublime beauty. All under a star-lit sky, in the lush grounds of the magnificent Kanakakkunnu Palace in Thiruvananthapuram.
