It was on this day, March 1st 2011, the New International Terminal Building at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport was inaugurated by Honorable Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Artifacts, a company at Nagpur and Atkins, a company based in Bangalore developed this state of the art New International Terminal Building.The Rs300 crore state of the art terminal building has the capacity to handle 1,600 passengers and can park eight aircrafts at a time along with its three aerobridges. The fully air-conditioned international terminal features more spacious lounges, natural lighting with extensive use of glass roofing and better conveyance facilities for passengers.
